The OM&IS Department is proud to announce their brand - new discussion series - The Gateway. The discussion series is based on exploring the intersection of technology, business, and research. This inaugural event will be focusing on the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence in the world.

This event will give you an idea on some of common questions running in everyone’s mind like Does Artificial Intelligence truly have boundless possibilities, or will it be stymied by structural limitations? Are we on the precipice of a technological utopia, or will unforeseen consequences leave the hope for our best future in the rubble of a butterfly’s flapping wings?

The event is hosted by Dr. Biagio Palese and Russ Devereaux with the guest speakers Dr. Dominik Dellermann and Dr. Milad Khaledyan to examine about this topic.

About Guest Speakers:

Dr. Dellermann is the CEO and Founfer of Vencortex - a ground braking start-up augmenting the entire decision - making process by combining human intuition with artificial intelligence. Dr. Khaledyan has a PhD in mechanical engineering which he utilized to explore robotics, control, and artificial intelligence. Currently, Dr. Khaledyan is a staff AI/Robotics Engineer at Nikon Research, where he has been charged with exploring vision - based robot manipulations in collaboratuve environments.

Both guests will be covering a unique research - based AI expertise for excellent and interactive conversation. This event is a passport approved event.
